This morning we revisited the main park in our city, which has a little pond with lots of ducks and geese--always a big hit with the kids! It was actually freezing this morning despite hitting the high 80s this afternoon, so we were all a bit chilly! But once the children started running around, they warmed up. I think the birds felt much the same: when we first got there, they were all huddled with their heads tucked under their wings, but when they saw the group coming, they got up and either hopped into the pond or came running toward us. I'm not sure whether they were excited or afraid! ;)
