"But I was in pursuit of poetry, ignoring God's pursuit of me. I had not yet realized that all beauty is of God and that to have one is to possess the other."
from Robert Waldron's The Hound of Heaven at My Heels: The Lost Diary of Francis Thompson
Oooo, I will have to check that out! We just had our book discussion for The Hound of Heaven last night and all of us loved the book, which is funny given that our group is half-Catholic and half-Protestant! The diary was just a lovely portrait of the human condition.
Nice! You and Jen have some similar themes. As someone who tends to be all over the place, that's a challenge :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking in!
You're right--and I'm definitely in good company with Jen! :)
DeleteBeautiful! I listened to the series of talks put out by Well Read Mom by Theresa Vargo on "The Hound of Heaven" and they were fantastic!
